Biennial Flight Review
Every pilot is required to complete a flight review every 24 calendar
months. There are several ways to meet this FAA requirement.
One is with our flight review. The FAA requires a minimum
of one hour of ground school and one hour of flight time.
Our BFR covers the required FAA ground school subject areas including,
rules and regulations, safety of flight issues, preflight briefing
sources and content, a review of the aircraft speeds, performance
and limitations, and local area flight operations including common
Temporary Flight Restrictions.
Many private pilots used the BFR flight time as an opportunity
to learn a new maneuver, such a one of the commercial maneuvers.
Instrument rated pilots can combine a BFR and ICC and work on instrument
skills. Use the flight review to have some fun and learn something
new. Let us know what you are interested in doing, and it
is likely we can recommend an enjoyable exercise.
The FAA Wings program can also be used to satisfy the requirement
for a BFR. This is composed of 3 hours of flight training
and attendance at a safety seminar. Check with us for the
details.
