Instrument Ground School Course Start each January, May and September

This is a structured, 13 session course taught in a classroom setting that covers all knowledge areas required by the FAA instrument rating knowledge test. More importantly than just preparing you for the test, this course will provide the knowledge you need to carry out your duties as an instrument rated pilot. Subject areas include aviation weather and weather services, flight instruments and systems, attitude instrument flying, human factors, electronic navigation, FAA regulations and procedures, IFR departure operations, IFR en-route operations, IFR arrival and approach operations, and test preparation and test taking tips. This ground school course includes originally developed training presentations and lesson notes which are based on FAA flight training handbooks and publications. Commercial third party products from ASA and Gleim are also used. The required, recommended and optional materials are listed below and are offered as a complete package for the discounted price of $225 or individually at the prices listed. The class normally meets either on Sunday or Monday evenings (depending on the consensus of the particular class) from 6:30pm to 9:30pm and runs for 13 weeks. Classes are held in Center Business Park, 7801 N Lamar Blvd, Suite D-79, Austin, TX 78752. This is located near the US 183 and Lamar Blvd. intersection in north Austin and is accessed from the 183 frontage road south of Lamar.

The cost for the course is $225 plus the cost of the books, software, and material as follows:
